what's happening at


The BLVD KITCHEN in Sherman Oaks, CA is my home away from home.  The brainchild of Sharon Graves, BLVD Kitchen is a hybrid of retail (highlighting the works of local craftspeople), commercial kitchen, and entertainment space. I've been there since the beginning - making artisan soups, sauces and breads under my KIDDOC brand, teaching culinary classes, and helping with events. I wanted to be able to share what we do at BLVD, as my peeps there are very special, inspired, talented, and fun. And boy, do we have FUN!


September 14 - Chef's Table! We'll be going to New Orleans - we're talking wild mushroom soup, shrimp and grits, black pepper biscuits, and a luscious brown butter fig tart.  BYOB, and sit down with up to 15 people to watch me chef it up, and cook for you!

September 19 - Knife Skills!  There's nothing more dangerous in the kitchen than a dull knife and poor knife skills.  Hone your skills, learn how to sharpen and care for your knives, and learn all the basic cuts called for in most recipes.

October 11 - Game Day Football Food!  We're talking Tater Tot Burger Cups, Beer Queso and Homemade Chips, and Fried Pickles with Fresh Ranch Dressing. Who cares who wins?

October 19 - Do Ahead Dinners!  Cook a batch of good protein on Sunday, and I'll show you how to create several dishes through the week - make it easy for you, and delicious for your family.

November 1 - Family Dinner in a Flash!  Learn how to make great dinners in 30 minutes or less.  Your family will thank you and promptly offer to do the dishes.
